Hi NTI Learner,

Sign Language is a bridge to connect, communicate and collaborate with individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing. With so much to learn from the vibrant culture of the deaf community in Barbados and worldwide, sign language is an invaluable skill and an asset to personal growth and career development. Foster inclusivity through this communication method and learn how to provide accessible services for persons with disabilities in education, the arts and the workplace with our courses below.

Building Bridges

“When you learn sign language, you are bridging a gap between two communities,” which is what American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter Bonnie Leonce is most passionate about. With 25 years of local and international ASL engagement, Bonnie breaks down the need to check our biases, alleviate discrimination and embrace inclusivity. She also provides a clear understanding of deafness as an invisible disability and the importance of having deaf-friendly and accessible spaces.
